About Our Services

Q: What kinds of services do you offer?

We offer a comprehensive range of repair and remodeling services specifically tailored for Airstream and vintage travel trailers. Our capabilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Leak detection and repair
  • Roof resealing and maintenance
  • Exterior bodywork repair (e.g., panel patching/replacement, dent removal)
  • Floor repair and replacement
  • Interior remodeling and customization (cabinetry, layouts, upholstery coordination)
  • Appliance repair and replacement (refrigerators, water heaters, furnaces, AC units)
  • Plumbing system repairs and upgrades (including fresh, grey, and black water holding tank issues)
  • Electrical system diagnostics, repairs, and upgrades (including solar and battery systems)
  • Brake system service and repair
  • Window and door repair or replacement
  • Interior skin repair or replacement

Q: Are there any services you don't offer?

Yes. While our services are extensive, covering interior, exterior bodywork, plumbing, electrical, and brake systems, we do not perform certain specialized chassis work like complete axle replacements. We also do not offer cosmetic exterior polishing services. If your project requires services outside our scope, we can often refer you to trusted specialists.

Q: What types of trailers do you work on?

Our primary expertise is with Airstream trailers of all eras. However, we also have experience working on many other makes and models of vintage travel trailers (Shasta, Silver Streak, Spartan, etc.). If you have a specific brand or model, please contact us to discuss your project.

Location and Logistics

Q: Where are you located?

Our repair and remodeling facility is located just outside of Gatesville, Texas. All work is performed at our shop.

Q: Do you offer mobile repair services (coming to my location)?

No, we do not offer mobile services. To ensure the highest quality of work and access to our specialized tools, equipment, and controlled environment, all trailers must be brought to our facility just outside of Gatesville for service.

Q: What geographical areas do you serve?

While our shop is in Central Texas (just outside Gatesville), we serve customers from all over the state of Texas and often from surrounding states as well. Customers need to be able to transport their trailer to our Gatesville-area location for service.

Cost and Process

Q: How much will my repair or remodel project cost?

Every trailer and project is unique! Costs depend heavily on the age and condition of your trailer, the scope of the work requested, and the materials chosen. We cannot provide accurate quotes without first discussing your needs and inspecting the trailer.

Our labor rate is $175 per hour, plus the cost of parts and materials. We provide detailed, written estimates outlining the anticipated labor hours and parts costs after an initial consultation and evaluation.

Q: How do I get started? What's the process?

Getting started is straightforward:

  1. Contact Us: Reach out via our website form or phone call. Briefly describe your trailer and what services you're looking for.
  2. Consultation: We'll discuss your project in more detail, answer preliminary questions, and determine the next steps.
  3. Inspection/Evaluation: For most projects, we'll need to schedule a time for you to bring your trailer to our shop for a thorough inspection. This allows us to assess the condition accurately.
  4. Estimate: Based on the consultation and inspection, we will provide a detailed estimate outlining the scope of work and associated costs.
  5. Scheduling: Once you approve the estimate, we'll schedule your project into our workflow.
  6. Work Begins: You bring your trailer in, and our skilled team gets to work! We aim to keep you updated on progress.

Q: How long will the work take?

Project timelines vary significantly based on the complexity, parts availability, and our current shop schedule. Simple repairs might take a few days, while extensive remodels can take several weeks or months. We will provide an estimated timeframe along with your quote.
